My face is really dry and sensitive, so when I get a blemish it becomes inflamed faster than you can say spaghetti. It’s not fun, I know some of you have been there. Then when I did some research I found that I’m not the only person that loves this all natural DIY mask, it’s making people with all kinds of skin types happy. With this happy revelation, I’m going to share with you the miracle DIY face mask recipe that has kept my skin clear all year.
Want the best skin you’ve ever had? Try the best DIY face mask for acne below.
Ingredients:
-Turmeric powder
-Honey (preferably raw)
-Milk (almond milk works well, though whole milk may provide more benefits)
Turmeric is amazing for reducing inflammation and redness in acne, while honey is antibacterial and moisturizing, and the milk adds a cooling feel while also lightly exfoliating the face. All together, these great ingredients really help acne.
Instructions:
- In a small bowl, add two teaspoons of turmeric powder
- Add one tablespoon of honey
- Add one tablespoon of milk
- Mix all together and add more of each ingredient as needed to get the desired consistency. These measurements are all approximations, I encourage you to experiment.
- Clean your face with a gentle cleanser, put your hair out of the way, and apply the mask to your face with your hands or the back of a spoon.
- Wash off after one hour.
Handy tips:
-Make sure to wear a messy shirt and use an old towel you won’t mind getting stained, turmeric is impossible to get out if you get it on fabric.
-If you have an orange residue on your face after washing off the mask, rub some olive oil onto your skin and then wash again to get your skin back to normal.
-Results are more visible the next day, rather than right away, so I like to do this mask at night.
-This mask can drip, so I like to lay in bed and read a book while wearing it.
There you go, the absolute best DIY face mask for acne ever! It has seriously improved the quality of my skin. Let me know if you try it in the comments, I’d love to know if it has helped your skin problems overtime.
